1. Overview

ProfitLockcollects only what's needed to operate a subscription-gated trading discipline app: your account details and the trading journal data you choose to store.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: email address, name, subscription status, and basic preferences.
• Trading journal data: profiles, balances, trades you log (pairs, entries, stops, take profit, notes, outcomes).
• Optional avatar: if you upload a profile photo.
• Technical data: standard server logs (e.g., request metadata) used for reliability and security.

3. How we use your data

• To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
• To run the calculator logic and store your journal.
• To enforce subscription access rules.
• To prevent abuse and keep the service secure.

4. Where your data is stored

Authentication (passwords and sessions) is handled by Supabase Auth. Application data (journal, profiles, subscription status) is stored in a Postgres database. Uploaded avatars (if used) are stored in object storage.

5. Cookies

We use cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not rely on cookies for advertising.

6. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers required to run the app (authentication, database, hosting) or when required by law.

7. Data retention

Your data is retained while your account exists. Administrators may remove accounts; removing an account can delete associated journal data. If you need a copy of your data, use the export feature when available.

8. Security

We use industry-standard access controls and encryption in transit. No system is 100% secure — you are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
